Wade Miller tossed a fine 2 hitter at the ballpark as the Dyersville Jurassics
beat the lifeless Enterprise Trekkers 7 to 1.
Miller(4-4) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Enterprise offense. He
was stingy on the mound, allowing just 2 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings seeing
his ERA drop from 4.93 to 4.50. Dyersville banged out 11 on the afternoon.
Wilson Alvarez(5-6) was given the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 6
runs in 4 and 2/3 innings. Scott Leitner was obviously impressed with the
pitching of Miller, 'That guy made us look a little silly out there this
afternoon. We just couldn't get to him at all - everything was working for
him. I just hope that he got that kinda performance out of his system.'
